New Orleans Saints Tickets
Giants vs Saints tickets are the next big Saint Ticket on our list and with those Giants Saints tickets we’re getting a dose of Monday Night Madness. The Saints have been a winning team since the Sean Payton regime came to town and when that happens you get Prime Time coverage and the chance to be on Monday Night Football, a treat for any NFL town.
This go around brings the New York Giants and Eli Manning to town. As of this writing the Giants are 6-3 and clinging to a 1-game lead in the NFC East with the fast rising Dallas Cowboys on their tail. Before facing our New Orleans Saints however, the Giants have an NFC East showdown with the struggling Philadelphia Eagles, a game which could go either way. New York just lost a tough one to the 49ers, so they’ll be trying to get right against Philadelphia, a team so schizophrenic it defies description.
What Saints ticket holders are hoping for is another game like the one they got the last time Giants Saints tickets came to the Superdome. As you remember, both teams entered undefeated and the anticipation was a hard fought and razor close ending. What really happened was the the New Orleans Saints totally trashed the Giants 48-27 and established themselves as a contender for the Super Bowl.
The scenario for this Giants Saints hookup is a little different. The Saints are 7-3 and coming off of a big NFC South win over the Atlanta Falcons. Inconsistency has been the face of the New Orleans Saints and the opportunistic defense of 2009 has become the bendable and breakable defense of 2011, although the huge defensive stand made in the Atlanta game could swing things in a better direction. Luckily for the Saints defense, the Giants don’t have a strong running game, ranking 29th in the NFL. But the secondary of the Saints defense will get a real test as New York is #5 in passing yards.
Saints tickets holders know what they have in Drew Brees, who now has the most yards in NFL history for any quarterback in the first 10 games of a season. The Giants are pretty much middle of the pack in defending the pass (17th) and even worse in rushing defense at #20. Given that the New Orleans Saints have two weeks to prepare, and the same two weeks to get Chris Ivory and Mark Ingram healthy, it may be time for the Saints rushing game to get on a roll against the Giants.
Overall, Giants Saints tickets are a good opportunity to catch the New Orleans Saints in a meaningful NFC game on Monday Night Football. The Saints need the win to maintain their lead in the NFC South and the Giants need the win to hang on to their spot in the NFC East. Not to mention the positioning for seeding in the playoffs.
